Katherine B. Lee – Partner
Katherine Lee is a co-founder and partner at Apex West Legal Group, LLP. Katherine has over 13 years experience as a licensed attorney in California. She spent the beginning half of her career practicing civil and business litigation at a well-known large law firm and medium size firm. She then transitioned to workers’ compensation defense in 2012. For over 7 years, Katherine held in-house staff legal positions at large insurance companies where she acquired valuable proprietary information of the insurance business in general and the process of claims administration specifically.
She now uses her experience to help injured workers with their workers’ compensation claims. Aggressive client advocacy is executed by balancing her many years as a litigator with her extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance law.
Katherine obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and her Juris Doctorate
from Loyola Law School.
John McPherson – Partner
John McPherson is a partner at Apex West Legal Group, LLP. John has been a licensed attorney in California since 2012. He started his career practicing personal injury and employment law and then made a seamless transition into workers’ compensation defense work in 2015. For over 6 years, John served as in-house counsel for one of the largest insurance companies in the nation.
Like Paul and Katherine, John acquired valuable experience and knowledge of workers’ compensation claims administration and strategy through his in-house position and is now using his broad skillset to advocate for injured workers and to help restore their quality of life. John is a force in the litigation arena as proven by the high settlement values he has obtained for his clients.
John graduated 5th in his class with magna cum laude distinction and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
